Fire Perimeter by Nova is a companion tool to Fire AI’s core hotspot detection functionality. Designed to provide an analytical base for hotspot information, Fire Perimeter also delivers a flexible and fast way to create, update and edit the boundaries of your fire. The size of your fire is automatically calculated with each iteration, storing your historical data so you can track change over time.
With a feature roadmap that includes the ability to automatically draw the boundaries of your fire based on hotspot information, in Nova’s collaborative work environment, Fire Perimeter by Fire AI ensures your team is always up to date.
Tips
Your fire perimeter history is saved and accessed in the bottom panel.
Use the reset button while in Drawing mode to clear your fire perimeter drawing.
Draw or upload another fire perimeter to update and overwrite a previous fire perimeter.
Click the 'Center on map' button on an active perimeter within the side panel to focus the map on the fire perimeter.
FAQ
In the side panel, click on the perimeter plugin, click Upload and select your perimeter file. Select save and exit once the correct perimeter is shown on the map.
In the side panel, select the perimeter plugin and click the Draw button. Start by right-clicking to place your first point, and add at least 3 points to begin. Click and drag any of the points to adjust the perimeter. Select finish when the perimeter is complete.
To edit an existing perimeter, open the Fire Perimeter plugin panel, and select Edit under the perimeter you wish to change. If you want to delete a perimeter, use the bottom or side panel to remove it from the project
KML file types are supported for the Fire Perimeter plugin.
